EXCELLENT

M.i.a. 'Sunshowers' - like garridge meets Bow Wow Wow - a beat as implacably, anempathically mechanoid as that of 'I Love U', a sang-spoken refrain as dreamily addictive as anything off 'Mutant Disco'...

Rachel Stevens 'Some Girls' - finally heard it. It lives up to the hype and then some...

Sounds interesting, where did you hear it? I know she is a Sri Lankan Tamil, whose family were refugees from Jaffna, settling in South London/Surrey

The video for "Some Girls" (which starts out looking like a tribute to your favorite Dr Who episode) can be found on her website. Like the song it starts as sparkly pop fun but doesn't really do anything except last four and a half minutes. Dozens of scantily clad young women climbing out of the sewers ought to build up to something wild and spectacular....
