JUST IN CASE THERE'S ANYONE OUT THERE WHO HASN'T

Somewhat superfluous to recommend going to TWANBOC this week. Because you've been already been there, seen the movie, got the T-shirt. Right?

anon, if you feel that way about Ingram why not tell him rather than k-punk?

Posted by: jed at October 3, 2003 12:19 PM

For God's sake, can't you see anon's far too busy studying his Jeremy Guscott poster to answer all your spazzy girl woofter questions?

I'm going to delete this comment when I get home, because I don't see why k-punk should play host to anonymous abuse of another blogger. In the meantime, however... We're all pseuds, we're all 'sad', we're not corporate financiers or Alpha-male silverbacks or studs. That's a given, and something that is often discussed on the blogs, in a self-deprecating way. We often refer to it as the nerdosphere, for crissake!

And since anon (or should that be, anal?) is so pernickety, it's worth pulling him up on the way he has put his lame psychoanalytic (psychoANALytic?) argument about sexual frustration. Record collecting as substitute for sexual frustration? Surely not. A substitute for _sexual activity_ maybe, or an _expression_ of sexual frustration. An expression of sexual frustration --- just like the Sistine chapel and the Mona Lisa, or indeed the whole of civilization (cf 'Civilization and its Discontents'? Everyone can perform this kind of cod psychoanalysis on everyone else, can't they? What are we to conclude about anon's obsession with spelling errors, for instance? (Incidentally, perhaps if anon had a blog, or _admitted_ to having a blog, we could trawl through that and look for spelling and grammar mistakes). And what of his fixation on tokens of masculinity (rugby playing, penis size)? Was he bullied by his father?

Isn't Anon an anagram of Onan, the blind sage of antiquity?

hilarious. my bet's on 'anon' being ingram himself. (altho that comment about blogs not being interesting or important did appear on technicolor a few weeks ago!!!)

Be interesting to see "anon"s blog or written work if he has any.

Hilarious to accuse "the rest of us" of having nothing to say, but not referring us to anything, uh, that he might have to say. Parasitism, innit.

Dissing people anonymously on the net - hardcore, eh?

plus i cant imagine anyone could describe TWANBOC of having "not enough words" - he writes up a storm and his enthusiasm is so infectious - he has turned me on to loads of good music - ride on hero! (as penman said, though he was talking about Scott Walker) - i should be telling Ingram this himself as i remind myself to do and never actually do do (im fairly pissed)....

Anon you are a stupid twat. If you had any guts you'd paste me on ILM or UK-Dance where I could "engage you in discourse," or even just email me yourself (please....don't). You clearly know fuck all about the internet cos if Mark was bothered enough he could trace you to your front-door via your IP address.

From the sterling defense folk have done on my behalf I can infer you think I'm a major saddo. I'm surprised you feel the need to tell me as I spend half the time saying just the same. Sexual frustration? Very true, I can't get enough mate...

Most of all I'm very fucking embarassed that you've wasted Mark and John's time. These people are creative geniuses with better things to do than mop up after me.

Congratulations!
