PR[BL]OG

Meme with his version of the Progblog pantheon:
K-Punk: King Crimson (mucho erudition around a solid rhythmic base. But any more Dr fucking Who and you're The Enid, got it?)

The Enid it is then... :-)

Afro-Futurism = Black Prog

Kodwo Eshun = Yes fan

Worse than that, he likes Roger Dean ...

Uh-oh, so does someone else .

Sort of relieved to have avoided all prog comparisons. Here with Huysmans and the Medievalists and JFK during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

If Arnold becomes governer of California JG Ballard is forever redundant, if he's not already.

Do Bloggers go to the fair? There's a fair in Stamford Hill if anyone fancies it. Excellent!

Anyway, I'll be on the Waltzers, alone, going round and round and round and round and round and round

then sitting down and stuffing candly floss like a big pink pig.

A Time for Fear: Phil Manzanera/Quiet Sun.

(That flowing mane! Angular and sherious BUT with a heart of pop)

(And you mutate into This Heat! Lovebombs away!)

More Roger Dean respect please.

You'll get no Roger Dean respect here, I'm afraid. I mean you can rehabilitate some things, but fuck, I draw the line there....

Oliver, looks like you haven't, after all, escaped the Progging... Never mind becoming _like_ a pink pig, what you need to join the prog gang is a giant _inflatable_ pig....

Damn it, Maff!

Dean replaced parts of drawings with flat colours in angular almost abstract shapes (Uriah Heep's "The Magician's Birthday" for example), so couldn't you argue (k-punk style) that he eventually influenced such beloved covers as "Boy In Da Corner"?

Dean replaced parts of drawings with flat colours in angular almost abstract shapes . I think this is what Kodwo likes about im, to be fair to KE. That, and than and mechanimal forms. Still cuts no ice with me, though. :-)

So am I the only one who loves him mostly for the solar sailboats?
